Privacy Policy

Effective date: October 2025 · Last updated: June 2026

TASI ("we", "our", or "us") operates the teacher-focused educational platform at https://tasi.education (the "Service"). This Privacy Policy describes what information we collect, how we use and share it, how we protect it, and the choices you have—including when you connect optional Google or Microsoft services.

1. Information we collect

1.1 Account and profile information

When you create an account or sign in, we collect information such as your name, email address, school or organization name, role (for example, teacher or administrator), license key (if provided by your school), profile preferences, and authentication identifiers from your sign-in provider. If you sign in with Google or Microsoft through Firebase Authentication, we receive basic profile information (such as name and email) permitted by those providers for sign-in—we do not request Google Calendar or Google Drive access at initial sign-in.

1.2 Content you create or upload

We store content you generate or save in TASI, such as lesson plans, quizzes, chat messages with the Assistant, schedules, academy courses, attachments, and settings associated with your account. This data is stored in our cloud database (Firebase Firestore) linked to your user ID.

1.3 Student and classroom data

TASI is designed for educators and school staff, not for direct use by children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you enter student names, grades, or other information about learners into TASI, you are responsible for having appropriate authority and consent from your school or guardians. We process such information only to provide the Service to you and do not use it to train public AI models.

1.4 Usage and technical data

We may collect standard technical information such as browser type, device type, IP address, and logs needed to operate, secure, and troubleshoot the Service. We use this data in aggregated or limited form for reliability and abuse prevention.

1.5 Optional calendar data

If you choose to sync Google Calendar or Microsoft Outlook / 365 Calendar in Account Settings, we read upcoming calendar events (see Section 3 and 4) and store a normalized schedule (event title, start/end time, location, and display metadata) in your TASI account so you can view your teaching schedule in the app.

1.6 Optional cloud file attachments

If you attach files from Google Drive or Microsoft OneDrive, we access only the file(s) you explicitly select through the provider's picker. We read file content and metadata needed to use that file as context for your current session or saved work in TASI. We do not scan or index your entire cloud storage.

2. How we use information

We use the information described above to:

We do not sell your personal information. We do not use Google user data for advertising. We do not use student or user content to train public foundation models.

3. Google user data (Calendar & Drive)

This section applies when you connect optional Google features. TASI's use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

3.1 When Google scopes are requested

3.2 What we access from Google Calendar

After you consent, we call the Google Calendar API to read up to 50 upcoming events on your primary calendar (fields such as event title, start time, end time, and location). We do not create, update, or delete calendar events. Imported events are stored in your TASI account as schedule items for display in the app.

3.3 What we access from Google Drive

After you consent, the Google Picker lets you choose specific files (for example Google Docs, Sheets, Slides, PDFs, or images). We read metadata and content for those files only—via the Drive API or export endpoints—to attach them to your prompt or save them as part of your TASI session. We do not modify, delete, or share your Drive files with other users.

3.4 How long we keep Google-sourced data

Calendar-derived schedule items remain in your account until you delete them, replace them with a new sync, or delete your account. Drive file content used in a session is processed for that educational use; copies stored in your TASI account follow our general retention rules in Section 8.

3.5 Revoking Google access

You can disconnect Google Calendar or Drive at any time by revoking TASI in Google Account → Third-party access and/or by discontinuing use of those features in TASI. Revocation stops new access; data already stored in TASI may remain until you delete it or request account deletion (Section 8).

4. Microsoft integrations

If you sign in with Microsoft or connect Outlook / Microsoft 365 Calendar, we use Microsoft identity and Microsoft Graph APIs under your consent. Calendar sync reads upcoming events (similar fields to Google) for display in TASI. OneDrive attachments work like Google Drive: we access only files you select. Microsoft's privacy terms apply to data processed on their systems; see Microsoft Privacy Statement.

5. Third-party service providers

We use trusted providers to operate TASI. They process data on our instructions and under contractual or policy safeguards:

Each provider's own privacy policy governs their processing on their infrastructure. We select providers with appropriate security and, where applicable, education-sector commitments.

6. Sharing and disclosure

We may share information only in these situations:

We do not sell Google user data. We do not share Google Calendar or Drive data with advertisers or data brokers.

7. Data security

We implement industry-standard safeguards, including encryption in transit (HTTPS/TLS) and encryption at rest for data stored with our cloud providers. Access to production systems is restricted to authorized personnel. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure; please use a strong password and protect your account credentials.

8. Retention and deletion

We retain your account data while your account is active and as needed to provide the Service, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements. You may delete individual content within the app where those features exist. To request deletion of your account and associated personal data, email support@manifestrealityxr.com from your registered address. We will verify your request and delete or anonymize data within a reasonable period, subject to backup retention and legal holds. Deleting your TASI account does not automatically delete data held by Google or Microsoft; revoke third-party access in those accounts separately.

9. Your rights and choices

Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or export personal information, or to object to certain processing. To exercise these rights, contact us at the email below. We will respond within the timeframes required by applicable law. California residents may have additional rights under the CCPA/CPRA; EEA/UK users may have rights under GDPR—we will honor valid requests in accordance with applicable regulations.

10. Google API Services — Limited Use disclosure

TASI's use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

Specifically, for data obtained through Google OAuth scopes (Calendar and Drive):

11. Children's privacy (COPPA)

TASI is intended for teachers, administrators, and other school staff who are at least 18 years old (or the age of majority in their jurisdiction). The Service is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have collected information from a child under 13, contact us immediately and we will take steps to delete it. Schools using TASI remain responsible for compliance with FERPA, COPPA, and local student-data laws when staff enter student-related information.

12. International users

TASI may be accessed from multiple countries. Your information may be processed in the United States or other countries where our service providers operate. By using the Service, you consent to transfer and processing in those locations, subject to applicable safeguards.

13. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the revised policy at this URL with an updated "Last updated" date. Material changes may be communicated through the Service or by email where appropriate.
